The social and ecological Europe is facing currently requires action to question and regenerate the stories we all live by and its foundations. Inclusive language is a remarkable mean to bring unusual people together, promote tolerance to diversity in all its perspectives and ensure respect towards the environment.

The project examines cultural media pracces to test if the stories underlined foster us to take care of people and the ecosystems which rely on. By questioning the fundamental stories our societies are based on and rising awareness about its subtle mechanisms, the aim of the course is to support the production of transmedia and inclusive narratives along the continent.

Goals

  • Establish a multicultural space to debate transmedia narratives and its ties to social issues from different areas: gender and sexual equality, adultocentrism, health and ecology..

  • Promote the design of cultural practices which could reverse this effects and have an impact on local institutions to embrace diversity.

  • Continue the conversation online to carry further research, discussion and analyse possible outcomes.

Programme

Day 1

  • Welcome and introduction of the project.

  • Material content will be delivered.


Day 2 - 4

  • Outline the several perspectives in which inclusive language can impact on transmedia narratives.

  • Research in diverse groups into ideology and metaphores beneath the stories that are currently shaping Europe and detect those causing social fracture.

  • Gather participants to share their findings and detect key tools to promote respetecful narratives towards people and the enviroment.

  • Visit to public and private entities which are contributing to the local stories from a diverse perspective.


Day 5

  • Final assesment of the project. Create an online community to share this knowledge and promote inclusive cultural practices, applying the insights provided.

  • Certifications delivery and closing event.
